North Walsham is a market town and civil parish in the county of Norfolk and sits midway between the Norfolk Broads and the North Norfolk Coast.

Situated seven and half miles north of Wroxham and south of Cromer, it is served by the Bittern Line allowing travel between Norwich and Sheringham. This makes North Walsham a fantastic place to look for accommodation that will allow you to access the beautiful Norfolk Broads and stunning North Norfolk Coast without difficulty.

The market place houses a 16th century cross complete with clock. Originally built to collect rent from the market traders, it is a focal point of the town and even today, a market runs on Thursdays and a Farmers Market on the last Sunday of every month, excluding December.

North Walsham has many historical buildings including Paston College where Horatio Nelson, spent his school days between 1768 and 1771.

Nearby Bacton Woods has 280 acres of ancient woodland, dating back to Saxon times. The marked trails through the beautiful woodland offers great woodland walks and terrain for mountain biking. Sea Side towns such as Bacton, Happisburgh and Mundesley are just a short drive away. Its historic buildings and proximity to the Broads National Park and coast, makes North Walsham well worth visiting.

The North Walsham Museum and Information Centre is located on Vicarage Street, in the Saddlers Rooms. Open from 10am – 2pm, Mon- Fri
